How Hard Can it Be?

How Hard Can it Be?

Well, here we are! Three days into the New Year! Part of my New Year goal is to become more fluent in this whole website thing, so here goes! As you may have noticed, there have been some minor cosmetic changes. I think that these lil' changes will have a large impact with the overall feel of my site going forward.

If you've talked to me at all in 2024, you know that I made it a goal of mine to really put myself out there. For an introvert like me? I DID IT. No, really. I did. In May, I attended my first ever market with other vendors. YEP! I loaded up the truck and headed to Bonanza, Oregon for their Farmer's Market! Let's just say it was a blast and really gave me the encouragement I needed to keep on pushing myself for the next market.

Over the course of the summer, I attended a few more markets in Klamath Basin in Oregon.

In August, I got the opportunity I have dreamed of! I attended the Klamath County Fair and over the course of 4 days, I painted 487 faces. Yep, that's right. 487 faces. And ya know what? They were all smiling! The overall reaction was happy.. One of my most exciting moments was paint a mustache on a sleeping baby. It really is moments like that, where I can reflect and really.. really enjoy what I do.

Feeling good about how well the summer went, I attended another market at Coastal Farm and Ranch in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Let me say, this was the most rewarding market until this point. I was getting constant positive feedback and was really enjoying the company of a lot of other small business owners.

All summer long, I was laying in the ground work preparing for something bigger.. that something, I wasn't so sure of but in December, I knew what I needed to do.

December 15, I HOSTED MY VERY OWN MARKET. Yes, I am yelling. Yes, I am still on cloud 9 from it. This event was called The Spirit of Christmas Market. I cannot even convey how fun it was! Tons of people from the community really came out to support small business! There was over 20 vendors and businesses there and FREE visits with Santa. Everyone did so well, showed their gratitude and I discussed the plan moving forward if I was to plan another one..

AND GUESS WHAT. I DID (AM).

On February 9, 2025 The Spirit of Valentine's Day is taking place! There is already over 20 vendors that have arranged to be there and I am so excited!

This is what small business is about. This is what small businesses from a tight knit community is supposed to be..

Here's to 2025, I can't wait to see what else is in store!
